Senators INF Carter Kieboom Selected to SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game

Major League Baseball announced that Harrisburg Senators INF Carter Kieboom has been selected to participate in the 2018 Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game, where he will represent Team USA. Kieboom joins Potomac INF Luis Garcia as the two Nationals prospects selected to the game.

The 20-year-old has been one of the Senators' best hitters since being promoted to Double-A on June 21. In 16 games with the Senators, he is batting .375 with two home runs, seven RBI and a .975 OPS. Kieboom, who is currently riding a ten-game hitting streak, has hit safely in 15 of his 16 games and has reached base safely in all 16 contests. He joined the Senators after playing 61 games with Potomac to start the year, where he hit .298 with 11 home runs and 46 RBI and was tabbed as a Carolina League Mid-Season All-Star. 

Kieboom was selected by the Nationals in the first round of the 2016 MLB draft out of Walton High School in Marietta, GA. He is the 62nd best prospect in professional baseball and second best prospect in the Nationals organization according to MLB.com.

The 2018 Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game will be played at 4:00 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, July 15 at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. The game, which is now in its 20th year, features the top Minor League prospects competing in a nine-inning contest as part of All-Star Sunday. 

The Senators box office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available via telephone during the same hours as the box office hours.
